Job Description
This role focuses on assembling and installing cabinets and related components for ambulances within an automotive manufacturing environment. You will build and install cabinetry, trim, and furniture elements, perform light painting, and ensure all components meet quality and safety standards by following blueprints and precise measurements.
Responsibilities
- Assemble cabinets and cabinetry components for ambulances using hand tools and power tools.
- Install completed cabinets and furniture assemblies into ambulance interiors according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to understand layout, measurements, and installation requirements.
- Measure, cut, and fit wood and other materials accurately using a tape measure and carpentry tools.
- Install trim and finishing components to achieve a clean, professional appearance.
- Perform light painting on cabinetry, trim, and related components as required.
- Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and proper fit before installation.
- Follow established production processes and work instructions to meet output and quality targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store tools and materials.
- Operate safely in a production environment by following all safety procedures and using tools and equipment correctly.
- Proven experience in cabinet making, cabinet installation, or cabinetry assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
- Strong carpentry and woodworking skills, including measuring, cutting, and fitting materials.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to use a tape measure accurately and take precise measurements.
- Experience with furniture assembly or similar production work.
- Capability to perform light painting on cabinets, trim, and related components.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a production environment and meet deadlines.
- Background in automotive, cabinet, or furniture manufacturing environments.
- Experience installing cabinetry and trim in vehicles or other confined spaces.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address fit and finish issues during assembly.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a production team.

Work Environment
You will work in an automotive manufacturing facility focused on ambulance production. The environment is production-oriented, with regular use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment. Work involves standing for extended periods, handling materials, and assembling components at various stations on the production floor. Safety procedures and protective equipment are an integral part of daily operations, and collaboration with other production personnel is routine.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SOUTH EL MONTE, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
