Description:
We are seeking a Buyer/Senior Buyer to support procurement and supply chain operations for a rapidly growing defense electronics manufacturing organization. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted production by managing supplier relationships, processing and tracking purchase orders, expediting materials, resolving shortages, and driving on-time delivery performance.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of purchasing experience within an electronics manufacturing environment, strong experience working with MRP/ERP systems (Sage preferred), and a proactive approach to managing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries is strongly preferred.
Candidates must be comfortable working onsite five days per week and capable of quickly ramping up with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage procurement activities for electronic components, materials, and services supporting manufacturing operations
Create, issue, and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving performance, quality, and cost objectives
Expedite critical materials and proactively resolve shortages, delays, and supply chain disruptions
Partner with internal teams including Production, Planning, Engineering, and Operations to support manufacturing schedules
Utilize MRP/ERP systems to manage inventory levels, demand requirements, and purchasing activities
Support cost savings initiatives through supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing efforts
Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with company and industry requirements

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.69/hr.
