Job Title: Machine Operator - paying up to 24 an Hour
Job Description
This role involves setting up and operating production machinery to manufacture parts to precise dimensions and tolerances. You will use measuring instruments such as micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, and rulers to inspect and verify product quality, while documenting production data and maintaining equipment through proper lubrication and care.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate production machines according to established procedures and specifications.
- Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, rulers, and other measuring tools to ensure they meet required dimensions and tolerances.
- Monitor machine performance during operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Use hand tools and fixtures to support machine setup, operation, and minor adjustments.
- Inspect finished products and components to verify conformance to quality standards and production requirements.
- Document production data accurately, including measurements, counts, and other relevant information.
- Lubricate machines and equipment as required to ensure proper functioning and reduce wear.
- Identify basic issues or irregularities in the production process and perform troubleshooting within defined guidelines.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality targets.
Essential Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in a production process, preferably in the metals industry.
- Proficiency in machine operation within a production environment.
- Ability to use micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, rulers, and other measuring instruments accurately.
- Strong measuring skills with attention to dimensions and tolerances.
- Experience with inspection of parts and products for quality and accuracy.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for machine and process issues.
- Ability to use hand tools and fixtures safely and effectively.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a metals production environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with documenting production and inspection data.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $45.00/hr.
