Job Description
This role operates a Ready Mix truck and additional heavy equipment to support plant operations on-site. The equipment driver performs light maintenance, delivers concrete to production forms, and ensures safe, efficient, and timely operation in a fast-paced yard environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform light maintenance and basic service work on the Ready Mix truck to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Deliver concrete to production forms accurately and in a timely manner based on workflow demands.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the Ready Mix truck, including washing with approved cleaning solutions and maintaining the mixing drum.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure the Ready Mix truck remains in good mechanical condition.
- Assist with troubleshooting minor mechanical issues and promptly report larger mechanical concerns to supervisors.
- Operate additional heavy equipment when not actively driving the Ready Mix truck to support overall plant operations.
- Follow all safety protocols, site rules, and operational procedures while driving and operating equipment.
- Complete special projects and provide general operational support as assigned by supervisors.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate a Ready Mix truck.
- Truck driving skills suitable for operating in a yard and plant environment.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform light maintenance and identify minor issues.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate additional heavy equipment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and strict adherence to procedures.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work consistently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and team members.
- Effective teamwork skills to support plant operations and shared goals.

Work Environment
This position is based entirely in the yard and on-site; the equipment driver does not leave the site during shifts. The setting is fast-paced and operationally focused, with a strong emphasis on safety procedures, equipment inspections, and cleanliness. You will work outdoors and in yard conditions, which may involve exposure to varying weather and typical industrial site noise and activity.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brighton, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.54 - $24.54/hr.
