Job Title: Construction Foreman
Job Description
The Construction Foreman leads field crews and oversees daily jobsite operations, spending the vast majority of time coordinating, directing, and supervising work rather than performing hands-on tasks. This role ensures projects run safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications, with occasional participation in physical work during downtime or when needed to keep the project on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field crews, spending approximately 95% of the time directing others and running the jobsite.
- Plan and coordinate daily activities to ensure work follows construction plans, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Oversee installation of metal framing, steel framing, and metal studs for commercial construction projects.
- Supervise and inspect drywall installation and finishing, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to schedule.
- Manage installation of acoustical ceilings and related systems in commercial environments such as hospitals, schools, multifamily buildings, and resort properties.
- Coordinate and oversee rough and finish carpentry activities, including framing and general carpentry tasks.
- Direct and manage crews of 20 or more workers, assigning tasks, monitoring productivity, and resolving issues on site.
- Oversee projects valued at $1 million or more, ensuring work stays on budget and on schedule.
- Read and interpret blueprints to guide layout, framing, drywall, and ceiling work.
- Ensure proper use of power tools, hand tools, and measuring tools such as tape measures, and verify that work meets quality and safety standards.
- Monitor jobsite safety, promote safe work practices, and ensure compliance with company and site-specific safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to report progress, address challenges, and coordinate next steps.
- Step in to perform hands-on work when necessary during downtime or to support critical project milestones.
Essential Skills
- 6–8 years of experience in construction, with a focus on commercial projects.
- Proven experience overseeing projects valued at $1 million or more.
- Demonstrated experience supervising and leading crews of 20 or more people.
- Strong background in metal framing, steel framing, and metal stud installation.
- Hands-on and supervisory experience with drywall installation and finishing.
- Experience installing acoustical ceilings in commercial settings.
- Commercial construction experience on projects such as hospitals, schools, multifamily properties, and ski or resort facilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and tape measures used in framing, drywall, and carpentry.
- Experience in rough carpentry and framing within commercial environments.
- Experience in finish carpentry and interior finishing tasks.
- Ability to lead, organize, and motivate field teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a foreman in metal framing or steel framing on commercial construction projects.
- Experience in general labor and carpentry, including both rough and finish work.
- Comfort working across a variety of commercial project types, including healthcare, education, residential multifamily, and resort facilities.
- Interest in career growth into higher-level field leadership roles such as Superintendent.

Work Environment
This role operates in commercial construction environments, including hospitals, schools, multifamily buildings, and resort properties. A standard workweek is approximately 40 hours, typically structured as either five 8-hour days (Monday through Friday) or four 10-hour days (Monday through Thursday), depending on project location and needs. The organization actively prioritizes quality of life and strives to avoid weekend work whenever possible. Work is performed on active jobsites using tools such as power tools, hand tools, and tape measures, and involves tasks related to metal framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and carpentry in a field-based setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eagle, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $50.00/hr.
