Job Description
In this role, you will install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics equipment and systems while performing equipment setup and maintenance activities. You will use precision measurement tools to fabricate fixtures for use, including non-flight parts with standard alloys and simple geometry, and perform precision cleaning and chemistry processes. Adhering to general best shop practices, including PPE and shop safety requirements, you will demonstrate correct packaging and handling requirements for all hardware. Additionally, you will apply 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness in your daily tasks, collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines, and document and report any issues or discrepancies found during inspections and tests.
Responsibilities

- Perform equipment setup and maintenance activities.
- Use precision measurement tools to fabricate fixtures, including non-flight parts with standard alloys and simple geometry.
- Perform precision cleaning and chemistry processes.
- Adhere to general best shop practices, including PPE and shop safety requirements.
- Demonstrate correct packaging and handling requirements for all hardware.
- Apply 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness in daily tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
- Document and report any issues or discrepancies found during inspections and tests.
- 3 or more years of experience.
- Experience with soldering, crimping, and harness build.
- Experience with electronics testing.
- Experience with board repair.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with avionics systems and equipment, including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
- IPC-620 certification for wire harnessing.
- J-STD-001 or J-Standard certification for soldering assemblies (nice to have).
- Experience with Visio, Excel, and/or CAD Drawing software.
- Experience with fabrication and test.
- Experience with non-conformance resolution.
- NASA Certifications for soldering, crimping & harnesses.
- Experience with harness fabrication.
- Experience with vacuum chambers.
- Good time-management skills.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
