Join one of Colorado's largest energy infrastructure projects. We are actively hiring Licensed Journeyman Electricians and Electrical Apprentices to support the installation of a 530+ MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Boone, Colorado.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a landmark renewable energy project while earning competitive prevailing wages, overtime, and long-term employment stability. We are seeking safety-focused electrical professionals with experience in industrial, utility-scale, renewable energy, or large commercial construction environments.
Project Information
- Location: Boone, Colorado
- Project Type: 530+ MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
- Schedule: Full-time with significant overtime opportunities
- Duration: Long-term project - 3-5 years of work available
- Pay: Prevailing wage rates
- Journeyman Electrician: $49/hour
- Apprentice Electrician: $27hour
- Overtime available at 1.5x pay rate
- Consistent overtime opportunities
- Start Dates: Immediate openings and upcoming start classes available
Job Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems and components on a large-scale BESS project
- Pull and install heavy-gauge wire and cable
- Install underground conduit, raceways, and electrical infrastructure
- Perform electrical terminations on switchgear, equipment, and associated systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications
- Install conduit supports and electrical pathways
- Maintain compliance with all site safety regulations and procedures
- Collaborate with project teams to meet construction schedules and milestones
Journeyman Electrician Qualifications
- Active Colorado Journeyman Electrician License required
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required
- Previous experience in industrial, energy, renewable, utility-scale, oil & gas, or large commercial construction
- Strong experience with:
- Heavy electrical terminations
- Underground electrical installations
- Wire pulling and cable installation
- Conduit installation and bending
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to the job site; valid driver's license
Electrical Apprentice Qualifications
- Prior electrical construction experience required
- Experience in industrial, large commercial, renewable energy, or utility-scale projects preferred
- Knowledge of underground electrical work, conduit installation, and wiring techniques is a strong plus
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
- Reliable transportation; valid driver's license

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pueblo, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.30 - $49.26/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
