Job Title: Director of Clinical Operations / Services


Job Description

The Corporate Director of Patient Services is a registered professional nurse approved by the Board of Directors to organize and direct the Agency’s clinical services. The general objective of this position is to ensure the quality and safe delivery of patient care services in all locations within which the agency provides services.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily territory operations ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Assist in planning the overall development and administration of the agency as set forth in the policies and procedures relating to the agency.
  • Participate in planning, development, administration, and evaluation of the Agency services as set forth in the policies and procedures relating to the Agency.
  • Take a leadership role in policy development and revision as related to administrative as well as clinical practice and procedures.
  • Direct implementation of clinical practice models and procedures that reflect elements essential to rendering high-quality care.
  • Maintain knowledge of all aspects of the organization’s Performance Improvement Program.
  • Ensure compliance with regard to the Department of Health, accrediting organizations, individual contracts, and all other appropriate local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Participate in the selection and supervision of competent, qualified clinical administrative personnel.
  • Provide leadership in promoting and maintaining standards for the provision of quality care by all members of the patient care team.
  • Collaborate with members of the Business Development Team to identify development opportunities to increase community exposure and enhance access to care.
  • Establish and participate in committees both internal and external to facilitate and attain the objectives of the agency.
  • Review policies and procedures relevant to patient care ongoing and at a minimum present policies for approval/re-approval by the Board of Directors.
  • Participate in the selection of candidates for the agency/PAC committees.
  • Promote staff development by taking a leadership role in the development and implementation of orientation and staff education programs across the agency.

Essential Skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License in Connecticut.
  • Homecare experience.
  • Knowledge of community health nursing theory and healthcare management.
  • Understanding of American Nurses Association Health Nurse standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in performance improvement programs.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements of health departments and accrediting organizations.
