Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to test adhesive formulations in accordance with established guidelines. This role involves working independently or in collaboration with chemists, scientists, and technical staff to ensure the highest standards in product development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test adhesive formulations following established guidelines.
- Document test data accurately in laboratory information systems.
- Communicate basic observations regarding data and experimental outcomes.
- Read and follow work instructions and safety data sheets related to sample preparation, formulating adhesives, and sample testing.
- Employ basic problem-solving skills to overcome project bottlenecks and maintain project deliverable dates.
- Maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment and support safe work practices, including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to site safety practices.
- Utilize various computer systems to perform work and write internal and external final test reports.
- Use a variety of curing and dispensing equipment.
- Regularly maintain calibration of laboratory instruments to ensure reliability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Experience in laboratory work and chemistry.
- Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical, and mechanical data.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other team members in product development programs.
- Minimum of an Associate's degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or a related science field.
The role requires working in a laboratory setting, adhering to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment. The technician will use various laboratory equipment and computer systems to document and report findings. A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace is essential.

This is a Contract position based out of Rocky Hill, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
