Job Description
The Electronics Technician supports the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of high-voltage electrical assemblies used in naval and defense applications. This highly hands-on role focuses on diagnosing electrical issues, performing functional tests with specialized equipment, and collaborating closely with assembly and quality teams to ensure all products meet performance and safety specifications before shipment. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical products in a stable, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing and validation of high-voltage electrical assemblies used in naval and defense applications.
- Use oscilloscopes, digital volt meters (DVMs), multimeters, and other electronic test equipment to conduct functional and performance tests.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in high-voltage assemblies and systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Work closely with assembly teams to verify that electrical and electromechanical assemblies are built and wired according to schematics and specifications.
- Collaborate with quality teams to ensure products meet all technical, safety, and performance requirements prior to shipment.
- Interpret electrical schematics and documentation to support testing, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
- Perform high-voltage testing on electrical assemblies and AC power systems while following appropriate safety practices.
- Apply knowledge of electronic components and electromechanical assemblies to identify faults and recommend corrective actions.
- Document test results, troubleshooting findings, and corrective actions taken to support product quality and traceability.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues and suggesting improvements to test processes or assembly methods.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Experience testing electrical assemblies and systems, including high-voltage applications.
- Proficiency using oscilloscopes, digital volt meters (DVMs), multimeters, and other electronic test equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues in high-voltage and AC power systems.
- Experience with AC power systems and transformers.
- Knowledge of electronic components and electromechanical assemblies.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and related technical documentation.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Eligibility to work on government-related programs in accordance with applicable requirements.

Work Environment
This role is fully onsite in a hands-on manufacturing environment. The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with two 15-minute breaks and a lunch break each day. The work involves frequent use of oscilloscopes, digital volt meters, multimeters, and other electronic test equipment around high-voltage electrical assemblies and AC power systems. Team members can sit or stand at their workstations, and the environment emphasizes safety, collaboration, and low turnover. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
