Job Title: Electrical Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide broad spectrum support to a critical program at the Navy Research Lab. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to engage in dynamic and varied tasks in a collaborative environment, utilizing their expertise in electrical engineering, design, and assembly to support the installation of communication systems in vehicles.


Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of electrical design using PiCAD or OrCAD.
  • Collaborate with team members to further the mission.
  • Read and assist technicians in understanding schematics.
  • Utilize bench tools such as soldering and assembly techniques.
  • Engage in hands-on building, testing, and repair of power and conditioning systems.
  • Program embedded controllers.
  • Adapt flexibly to daily tasks and challenges.

Essential Skills

  • 5-10 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Secret Clearance.
  • Proficiency in analog circuitry.
  • Experience in hands-on building of power and conditioning units.
  • Skill in programming embedded controllers.
  • Soldering and assembly expertise, including testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Goal-oriented and a team player.
  • Interest in tinkering with electrical or automotive components.

Work Environment

The role involves working 5 days onsite at the Navy Research Lab, collaborating closely with a small team on research and development. The environment is highly collaborative, encouraging innovation and teamwork.
