Job Title: General Production Worker
Shift: 2-2-3 (Day Shift: 6:30 am - 7:00 pm)
Payrate: $17.50 an hour
Job Description
The General Production Worker inspects products for quality, packages finished goods, and supports production operations to meet established standards. This role collaborates closely with other team members, may assist with training new employees, works alongside machine operators, helps clean equipment, and performs additional production tasks as needed to keep the line running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Inspect products visually to ensure they meet quality standards and identify any defects or irregularities.
- Package finished products according to established procedures and specifications.
- Handle materials safely, including loading, unloading, and moving products and supplies as needed.
- Assemble components or products following work instructions and production guidelines.
- Use basic tools and equipment, such as tape measures, to verify product dimensions and accuracy.
- Work closely with operators to support smooth machine and line operations.
- Assist with training new employees by demonstrating tasks and reinforcing safety and quality expectations.
- Clean and maintain production equipment and work areas to support a safe and orderly environment.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and safe movement around the production floor.
- Perform repetitive motions and maintain productivity while standing and walking for extended periods.
- Adapt to changing production priorities and complete other related duties as assigned by supervision.
Essential Skills
- Experience performing visual inspection of products for quality and defects.
- Ability to handle materials safely, including lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Experience with basic packaging tasks in a production or light industrial environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions of the limbs while maintaining accuracy and focus.
- Capability to bend, twist, squat, and reach throughout the shift.
- Comfort working in an excessively noisy environment with appropriate protection.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time on a factory floor.
- Basic ability to use a tape measure or similar measuring tools.
- Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment that may include exposure to excessive heat, cold, or inclement weather.
- Reliability in following work instructions, safety rules, and quality standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a product inspector, material handler, or assembler in a light industrial or manufacturing setting is beneficial.
- Familiarity with quality control practices in a production environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors.
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including days or nights, and overtime as needed.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and support cross-training within the production area.

Work Environment
This role operates solely in a factory setting within a light industrial environment. You will work primarily on the production floor, standing and walking for long periods while performing repetitive tasks. The facility is non-climate-controlled, so temperatures may be excessively hot or cold depending on the season, and you may occasionally be exposed to inclement weather conditions. The environment is excessively noisy, and appropriate hearing protection and other safety equipment are used as required. Shifts follow a 12-hour rotating schedule: one schedule runs from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with a 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off pattern, providing every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off; other shifts run from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM depending on assignment (A and C Shift: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM; B and D Shift: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM). The position is classified as light industrial work and involves routine use of standard production tools and equipment in a busy, fast-paced setting. Dress is typical for a factory environment, focusing on safety and practicality, including appropriate footwear and any required personal protective equipment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.50/hr.
