Quality Engineer
Join a Growing Aerospace Manufacturing Team
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support quality operations within a precision aerospace manufacturing environment. This role will partner closely with Engineering, Production, Inspection, Suppliers, and Customers to ensure products and processes meet AS9100 standards and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve quality issues involving production, inspection, engineering, suppliers, and customers.
- Review and disposition nonconforming materials while maintaining accurate quality records and documentation.
- Manage corrective actions, concessions, waivers, and customer quality requests through various customer portals.
- Support First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and coordinate submissions through customer systems and NET-INSPECT.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and quality requirements to ensure compliance.
- Verify shipping documentation, certifications, inspection reports, and required quality records prior to shipment.
- Support supplier quality activities, including SCAR management, RMAs, and supplier corrective actions.
- Conduct internal AS9100 audits and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer and regulatory requirements are met.
- Support SPC activities, source inspections, and documentation packages for customer approvals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred.
- 2+ years of Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Supplier Quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with corrective actions, nonconforming material processes, root cause analysis, and quality documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer quality requirements.
- Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Preferred Experience
- Aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing experience.
- Experience with AS9102 FAIR documentation and customer portals such as NET-INSPECT or similar systems.
- Familiarity with DQR, DPRV, DSQR, SCAR, RMA, SPC, and source inspection processes.
- Experience using quality and manufacturing software such as MeasureLink, DISCUS, E2, PRO DOC, or similar platforms.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clearwater, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.
