We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our R&D team designing and developing custom lighting and power electronics products. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will work on circuit design, power electronics, PCB design, simulation, prototyping, testing, and product development from concept through production.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both design work and hands-on lab testing and wants to see their designs become real-world products.
What Youll Do
- Design and develop electrical circuits and power electronics for new products
- Design power supplies, converters/inverters, and constant-current driver circuits
- Select circuit topologies to optimize efficiency, performance, size, reliability, and cost
- Perform design calculations, modeling, and circuit simulation
- Create electrical schematics and perform PCB layout/design using Altium Designer
- Work with high-voltage and high-power electrical systems
- Design with transformers, semiconductor switching devices, and various PWM control techniques
- Evaluate and troubleshoot EMI issues, including common-mode and differential-mode noise
- Build, test, troubleshoot, and validate prototypes in a hands-on lab environment
- Support debugging, design verification, and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing throughout the product development process
- Take designs from initial concept and prototype through testing and production
What Were Looking For
- 5+ years of Electrical Design Engineering experience
- Strong experience with analog/digital circuit design and PCB design
- Hands-on power electronics experience
- Experience designing power supplies, converters, inverters, or similar power circuits
- Experience working with high-voltage and/or high-power electronics
- Strong schematic capture and PCB design experience
- Experience with Altium Designer
- Experience with circuit simulation tools such as LTspice or PSpice
- Experience with PLECS and/or MATLAB/Simulink is a plus
- Knowledge of constant-current drivers, PWM, transformers, semiconductor switches, and EMI
- Comfortable working hands-on with prototypes and test equipment in a lab environment
- Experience supporting products through the full development lifecycle from concept to production
Work Environment
- 100% onsite
- Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
