Fire Alarm Installer

Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems to ensure the safety and security of our clients' properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install fire alarm systems, including running wire, installing control panels, and mounting devices.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure systems are functioning correctly.
• Diagnose issues with fire alarm systems and replace faulty components such as sensors, control panels, and wiring.
• Complete all necessary paperwork associated with service and inspections.
• Communicate with customers before and after any call to explain work performed and ensure timely job completion.
• Communicate manpower requirements, project change orders, and project status through daily reports to the project manager.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, Florida Fire Prevention Code, and local building codes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ field experience in inspection, repair, and installation of fire alarm systems.
• Extensive knowledge of low voltage systems and experience working with Fire-Lite and Notifier brands of equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Proficient in the use of computers and smart phones, specifically Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Apple iOS, and Google Android.
• High level of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs and perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions.
