Job Title: Batch Machine Operator – 1st Shift
Job Description
This role operates batching and packaging equipment to produce bagged grout in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will set up and run machines from an electronic control panel, accurately weigh and measure materials, and ensure consistent product quality while supporting general production tasks across the facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate batching and packaging machines to produce product according to production orders.
- Review each order and verify all ingredients and materials to ensure the correct product, color, and volume are run.
- Set up machines using an electronic control panel, including selecting the correct recipe, color, and volume settings.
- Start, monitor, and adjust machines from the control panel to maintain proper operation and product flow.
- Weigh and measure raw materials accurately before loading them into the machine to meet batch specifications.
- Load materials and product into the machine safely and efficiently, following established procedures.
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure they run properly and identify any issues or abnormalities.
- Perform cleaning tasks on equipment and work areas to maintain a safe and organized production environment.
- Stage materials and products for upcoming runs while current batches are processing to keep production flowing.
- Assist with mixing, batching, and compounding activities as needed to support overall production.
- Perform general labor tasks such as lifting boxes, line work, and material handling as required.
- Operate a forklift to move materials, finished product, and pallets within the facility, when qualified.
- Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and quality standards to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
- Work collaboratively with team members and remain flexible to help wherever the facility needs support.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while working with equipment, materials, and forklifts.
Essential Skills
- Proven machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with mixing, batch mixing, batching, or compounding processes.
- Ability to accurately weigh and measure materials for production batches.
- Previous manufacturing experience, including production and line work.
- Comfort performing general labor tasks such as lifting boxes and staging materials.
- Experience operating a forklift in a production or warehouse setting.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a dusty, non-climate-controlled facility.
- Strong team player mindset with a willingness to help out wherever needed.
- Commitment to quality and following good manufacturing practices (GMP).
- Reliability to work a consistent 1st shift schedule from 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Work Environment
This role is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility that can be dirty and dusty, with hot conditions in the summer and cold conditions in the winter. You will work on a 1st shift schedule from 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, providing a consistent four-day workweek. The facility uses batching and packaging machinery, mixing and compounding equipment, and forklifts for material handling. The pace is steady and busy, but not high pressure, and you will work closely with a small group of coworkers in a collaborative, hands-on production setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gainesville, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
