Aircraft Painter
📍 Location: Jacksonville, FL 🕒 Shift: Monday – Thursday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Aircraft Painter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing aircraft surfaces while ensuring compliance with company procedures, customer specifications, and aviation industry standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced aviation environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers.
- Mix and apply paints, coatings, and finishes according to manufacturer specifications.
- Operate spray guns, sanding equipment, and other painting tools safely and efficiently.
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Perform touch-ups, paint repairs, and finish work as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Previous aircraft painting experience preferred.
- Experience with automotive, industrial, or aerospace painting may be considered.
- Knowledge of paint preparation, application techniques, and finishing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical documents.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
