CNC Machine Operator – Press Brake / CNC Laser / Punch Press
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Northside)
Job Type: Contract‑to‑Hire (90 days)
Environment: Manufacturing (non‑climate‑controlled)
Pay Rates: $18-21 an hour - based on shift
Available Shifts
- 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
Job Description
We are seeking experienced CNC Machine Operators to join our metal fabrication team on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. This is a hands‑on role responsible for operating CNC press brake equipment to bend, form, and shape metal components in accordance with production specifications and quality standards.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC press brake machines to bend and form metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Accurately measure parts using tape measures and precision measuring tools
- Set up machines, select proper tooling, and perform tooling changes
- Input and adjust machine settings using CNC controls and computers
- Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety and production guidelines
Qualifications
- Required: Prior CNC press brake operation experience
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Ability to read blueprints and production drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude with tooling and setup experience
- Comfortable using computers for machine setup and quality checks
- Experience with metal fabrication machinery preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work in a non‑climate‑controlled manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
