Job Title: Painter Helper
Job Description
This role supports the manufacturing of industrial power systems in a heavy-industrial production facility. You will work on the paint line handling sheet metal components, preparing them for finishing, and assisting with loading and unloading materials. The position requires frequent heavy lifting, attention to safety, and the flexibility to assist in paint booth operations, including touch-ups and powder coating as needed.

- Pay rate: $17-$21/hr (based on shift)
- Shift options:
- 1st shift: 5:00am-1:30pm (M-F)
- 2nd shift: 1:00pm-9:30pm (M-F)
- 3rd shift: 9:00pm-5:30am (M-F)
- Hang metal parts and components on the paint line, ensuring correct placement and spacing for proper coating.
- Work with sheet metal parts, handling them safely and efficiently throughout the production process.
- Load and unload materials onto and from the paint line and related production equipment.
- Lift and move heavy metal pieces weighing up to 75 pounds on a regular basis, following safe lifting practices.
- Assist in the paint booth as needed, performing touch-ups on parts to ensure proper coverage and finish quality.
- Support powder coating operations by preparing parts, monitoring coated pieces, and handling them carefully to avoid damage.
- Use basic hand tools and production equipment as required for general labor and mechanical assembly-related tasks.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or construction labor environments.
- Experience with production work, including loading, unloading, and general labor tasks.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds consistently and safely.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift in a physically demanding role.
- Comfort working with sheet metal and handling large metal components.
- Willingness to work around powder coating processes and in paint booth environments.
- Familiarity with basic mechanical and assembly tasks, including the use of hand tools.
- Ability to work safely in a heavy-industrial setting with forklifts, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment.
- Reliability and strong work ethic to support continuous production operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Exposure to sheet metal fabrication or powder coating processes.
- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting with multiple workstations and production lines.
- Basic understanding of blueprints or mechanical drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical assembly or production work.
- Comfort working in louder areas around CNC machinery and fabrication equipment.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to wiring, mechanical work, welding, CNC machinery, electrical testing, and paint line operations as opportunities arise.
