Job Description

This position collaborates with the Early Stage Project Manager to define and influence project requirements and scope. The projects can start as FERC 1000 competitive transmission project proposals or as greenfield projects for NEET affiliates. The candidate will manage EOR’s, support narrative and commercial strategy with Early Stage PM’s, NEET Development, and other stakeholders. The candidate needs to understand project requirements, emerging issues like wildfire mitigation strategies, and upcoming competitive windows. Ideally, the candidate should have competitive RFP experience in the transmission space and experience in HV or EHV transmission line design and execution. Commercial and contract negotiation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Early Stage Project Manager to define and influence project requirements and scope.
• Manage FERC 1000 competitive transmission project proposals and greenfield projects for NEET affiliates.
• Oversee EOR’s and support narrative and commercial strategy with Early Stage PM’s, NEET Development, and other stakeholders.
• Understand project requirements, emerging issues, and upcoming competitive windows.
• Utilize competitive RFP experience in the transmission space.
• Design and execute HV or EHV transmission lines.
• Engage in commercial and contract negotiations.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 7 years of transmission line design experience.
• Experience with 115kV and above (230kV, 345kV, 500kV, 765kV) transmission lines.
• FERC Order 1000 / Competitive RFP experience.
• HVDC transmission line design experience.
• Commercial and contract negotiation skills.
• Understanding of project requirements and emerging issues.
