Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional support in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical assisting and be adept at handling administrative tasks, patient care, and clinical support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct follow-ups and update patient records through data entry.
• Answer inbound phone calls and provide exceptional customer service.
• Order labs and relay lab results to patients.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and manage appointment scheduling.
• Perform triage and provide clinical support as needed.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Medical Assisting.
• Diploma or certification in Medical Assisting preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records, specifically Athena EMR.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology.
• Experience in ordering labs and managing patient care.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience with front desk operations.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is advantageous.
• Knowledge of insurance procedures is a plus.

Work Environment
