Substation Engineer

Seeking a Substation P&C Designer/Engineer to join our Substation Engineering team.

The Substation P&C Engineer serves as an engineer, NOT LEAD, on electric substation design projects for high-voltage utility systems and renewable energy interconnection projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of design for high voltage (4kV – 230kV) and EHV (above 230kV) substation projects.
• Development of One-line diagrams,Three-line diagrams, Potential and current schematics, Control schematics, Alarm schematics, Communications schematics, Wiring Diagrams
• Work seamlessly with a P&C Designer to develop the above listed schematics as well as the associated wiring diagrams.
• Serves as a technical specialist for system protection and communication and has knowledge and skillset to provide consultation and guidance to project teams.

• Protection and control specifications (Preferred)
• I/O mapping (Preferred)
• Points mapping (Preferred)
• Relay settings (Preferred)
• Documentation for Design Calculations
• Construction Documentation (Sequence and RFP)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-Accredited)
• 3+ Years direct Substation P&C Design Engineering experience
• AutoCAD and/or Microstation Experience
• SDS (Substation Design Suite) Experience preferred
• Strong familiarity with the NEC and National Electrical Safety Code
