Job Description
The Plasma Table Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC plasma cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal parts in accordance with engineering drawings, work orders, and production specifications. This role plays a critical part in the manufacturing process by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, quality, and compliance with all safety requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC equipment, reading blueprints, and safely handling materials in a fabrication environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting tables to cut sheet metal according to work orders and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, measurements, and cutting instructions.
- Monitor machine operation to ensure quality, accuracy, and safe performance.
- Verify finished parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and material usage.
- Organize, stack, and stage cut parts for transfer to downstream production areas.
- Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes.
Essential Skills
- Prior experience operating CNC plasma tables or similar fabrication equipment.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic measurements.
- Basic math skills required for material layout and verification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Set up experience.

Work Environment
Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility with bay doors open depending on the time of year. The position is for the 2nd shift, from 3:45 PM to 2:15 AM, Monday through Thursday, with some potential overtime required on Fridays.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
