Job Title: Commercial Painter (Entry-Level)
Job Description
Join a growing team in Port St. Lucie as an entry-level Commercial Painter, working on commercial construction projects, renovations, and tenant buildouts. In this role, you contribute to high-quality finishes by preparing surfaces, applying paints and coatings, and supporting a variety of interior and exterior projects while developing your skills in a professional construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming to ensure proper adhesion and a smooth, professional finish.
- Apply paint, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment according to project specifications and quality standards.
- Protect surrounding areas, fixtures, and finishes using masking materials, tape, and drop cloths to prevent overspray and damage.
- Assist with drywall touch-ups, minor drywall repair, and surface preparation as needed on commercial construction and renovation projects.
- Mix and match paint to achieve accurate colors and finishes in line with project requirements.
- Support painting production goals by working efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Use and maintain spray guns and other painting tools safely and effectively.
- Follow all safety procedures and compliance guidelines on construction sites, including proper use of equipment and personal protective gear.
- Collaborate with other team members and trades on renovation and tenant buildout projects to ensure work is completed on schedule.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout each project.
Essential Skills
- 1–3 years of painting experience in commercial or residential settings.
- Proficiency in surface preparation, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming.
- Ability to apply paint using brushes and rollers with consistent, high-quality results.
- Basic experience using spray equipment and spray guns for paint application.
- Knowledge of commercial painting techniques and standards.
- Ability to perform drywall touch-ups and minor drywall repair.
- Understanding of safety compliance requirements on construction and renovation sites.
- Capability to work on construction, renovation, and tenant buildout projects.
- Reliability in maintaining consistent full-time availability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working on commercial construction projects and tenant buildouts.
- Experience in renovation work, including repainting and refinishing existing spaces.
- Familiarity with mixing and matching paint to meet specific project color requirements.
- Comfort working with production-focused painting tasks while maintaining quality.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
