Job Title: Diesel Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician who is experienced in diagnosing and repairing various systems such as transmission, engine, electrical, suspension, driveline, HVAC, brakes, and air systems. The ideal candidate will perform routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair most transmission, engine, electrical, suspension, driveline, HVAC, brakes, and air systems.
- Perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, and wiring.
- Conduct basic and routine preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers.
- Utilize all diagnostic equipment and resources effectively.
- Repair or replace bolt-on body parts like hoods and cab extenders.
- Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and work within or close to most SRT times.
- Drive trucks in and out of the shop before and after repairs are completed.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and offer suggestions on complicated repairs.
- Clean and maintain the work area daily.
- Perform open seat inspections to prepare the tractor for the next driver.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in diesel engine repair, trailer repair, and diesel maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to stand for long periods supporting full body weight.
- Ability to walk a minimum of 1000 feet and change positions frequently.
- Capability to frequently move shoulders with a full range of motion.
- Ability to reach heights over 72” and crouch to a height of 18”.
- Proficient in using hand tools for extended periods.
- Ability to stoop to 30” and kneel to 18”.
- Capable of going in/out of a truck on 51” and one 24” step, pulling full body weight.
- Ability to occasionally push 250 lbs, pull 125 lbs, frequently push/pull 100/50 lbs, and constantly push/pull 50/25 lbs.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
