Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator
Job Description
The Clinical Research Coordinator will support a post-market respiratory testing study consisting of single study visits of approximately one hour. This contract role focuses on patient-facing coordination, data entry, and logistical support for the current research team, with the possibility of supporting additional studies depending on performance and future needs.
Responsibilities
- Support patient enrollment into the post-market respiratory study, including pre-screening and eligibility confirmation.
- Coordinate and schedule single study visits, ensuring participants understand the visit process and study requirements.
- Enter study data accurately into REDCap and other electronic data capture (EDC) systems in a timely manner.
- Use tablets and other study-related technology to collect and manage data during study visits.
- Handle study specimens in accordance with protocol and site procedures, without performing laboratory testing.
- Support administrative needs such as organizing and maintaining study supplies and materials.
- Assist with documentation, including completion of study forms, logs, and regulatory records as required.
- Collaborate with the broader study team to ensure protocol adherence and smooth day-to-day study coordination.
- Adapt to support other study-related tasks or areas based on capability and evolving project needs.
Essential Skills
- Clinical research experience, including at least one year in a clinical research setting; academic clinical research experience is acceptable.
- Hands-on experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems, preferably REDCap, or strong willingness and ability to learn new EDC platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to review and follow clinical study protocols accurately.
- Patient-facing experience, with comfort interacting directly with study participants in a clinical or research environment.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in data entry, documentation, and adherence to study procedures.
- Comfort using tablets and learning new technology to support data collection and study operations.
- Experience with pre-screening patients and managing patient enrollment processes for clinical studies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with patient enrollment in clinical or research studies is considered a strong plus.
- Ability to manage multiple study visits and tasks across different clinical sites.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to coordinate schedules and study logistics.
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Flexibility to support additional studies or research activities as opportunities arise.
Work Environment
This role involves working across multiple clinical sites and requires independent travel between locations. The coordinator will need to transport themselves and arrange parking at various facilities, with no reimbursement provided for travel or parking. Schedules will be communicated in advance to allow for planning across different locations. The position is fully patient-facing and involves working with symptomatic respiratory patients, including individuals who may test positive for COVID. The environment includes active clinical settings such as hospitals and urgent care centers, where staff regularly use tablets, electronic data capture systems, and other study technologies during patient visits. Attire should be appropriate for clinical and hospital environments, reflecting professional standards and any site-specific guidelines.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
