The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and facility equipment to support pharmaceutical production operations. This role ensures equipment reliability, compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and adherence to safety and quality standards in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain and service pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment such as blenders, granulators, tablet presses, encapsulators, packaging lines, labeling equipment, HVAC, and air handling systems.
- Support calibration and validation activities in compliance with GMP requirements.
- Complete maintenance work orders and documentation accurately in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, company SOPs, and safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve equipment performance.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production disruptions.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and PLCs (preferred).
- Experience with GMP documentation and regulated environments.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and utilities.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical field preferred.
- 2–5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; pharmaceutical or FDA-regulated industry experience strongly preferred.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
