Job Title: Distribution Field Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Distribution Field Technician to collaborate with another technician in the field. The primary role involves taking pictures of power poles and sending them to the designer to ensure accurate data capture. This position offers ample growth opportunities within the company, with the potential to advance to office roles after a year or two.

Responsibilities

• Work with another Distribution Field Technician to take pictures of power poles.
• Send captured images to the designer for data verification.
• Communicate effectively with the designer and client to ensure proper data is captured.
• Collect data and maintain accurate records.
• Travel to various sites, primarily around the GA/AL border, but also in Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle.
• Work during storm events as required.

Essential Skills

• Experience working as a Distribution Field Technician.
• Proficiency in using software to take pictures in the field.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in power distribution.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in data collection.
• Knowledge of joint use and staking.
• Familiarity with power poles.

Work Environment

This role requires extensive travel to various sites, primarily around the GA/AL border but also in Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle. Technicians can expect to be on the road for up to four nights at a time. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel related to pole inspections. Additionally, technicians will be required to work during storm events.
