Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician operates and supports CNC machining centers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role involves setting up machines, loading and unloading materials, monitoring multiple CNC machines, performing basic troubleshooting, and conducting precision inspections to verify that all parts meet exact specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machining centers, including machine setup, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting to maintain continuous production.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into and out of CNC machines safely and efficiently.
- Monitor multiple CNC machines simultaneously to ensure consistent, high-quality output and minimal downtime.
- Change, adjust, and replace machine tools as needed to meet production specifications and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on CNC machines and promptly report any mechanical issues or abnormalities.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Interpret and work from technical blueprints, schematics, and written work instructions to ensure parts meet exact dimensional and quality requirements.
- Use hand and power tools to support production activities and assist with machine operation and part handling.
- Support general production tasks around the CNC machining center, including material handling, part preparation, and workspace organization.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in the manufacturing facility.
- Stand for extended periods while operating equipment and handling parts, maintaining focus and attention to detail throughout the shift.
- Lift, carry, and maneuver awkward items and machined parts weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily production activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status, quality concerns, and equipment issues.
- Adhere to production schedules and quality standards while meeting performance expectations for output and accuracy.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate or support CNC machines, including basic understanding of CNC machining processes.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers for quality checks of machined parts.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to verify part specifications.
- Experience using hand and power tools safely in a production or mechanical setting.
- Strong work ethic, reliable job tenure, and a positive, professional attitude.
- Capacity to stand for long periods of time while performing repetitive tasks with consistent attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry awkward items and parts weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Basic understanding of inspection practices and quality control in a manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to support both general production tasks and CNC machine operation as needed.
- Any prior experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with CNC machines and machining processes is beneficial.
- Comfort working with production measuring tools, gauges, and inspection equipment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented production environment.

Work Environment
This role is based in a brand-new, state-of-the-art, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility that is very clean and safety-focused. Employees work around CNC machining centers and related production equipment, using hand and power tools as well as precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. The position requires standing for long periods and handling parts up to 50 pounds. Candidates must be open to working various shifts, including 1st shift Monday–Wednesday (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.), overnight Monday–Wednesday (7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.), weekend 1st shift Thursday–Saturday (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.), and weekend overnight Thursday–Saturday (7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.). The facility emphasizes a clean, organized, and safe production environment to support efficient operations and employee comfort.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ellabell, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.75 - $23.25/hr.
