Job Title: Trailer Maintenance Technician - 22-26/hr
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Trailer Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing trailers. The role involves conducting wheel-end services, performing tire repairs and replacements, and troubleshooting various systems including air brakes, electrical/lighting, and suspensions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair trailers.
- Conduct wheel-end service including hubs, bearings, and seals.
- Perform tire repairs and replacements with tires weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair air brake systems, electrical/lighting, suspensions, landing gear, doors, floors, and frames.
- Use hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
- Occasionally perform minor structural welds.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in air brake systems, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, and suspension.
- Experience with fabrication, MIG, TIG, and fitting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Basic computer skills for diagnostics and record-keeping.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks such as stooping, climbing, and kneeling.
- Ownership of a complete set of quality hand tools is preferred.

Work Environment
Work primarily outside at the ports, with a schedule of 2nd shift hours from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday. There is also a mandatory half shift on Sundays from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
