Description
• Responsible for engineering and project administration activities related to specific circuit breaker product families. • Perform engineering analyses, including thermal, electromagnetic, dynamic, and structural, using experience applying basic engineering principles. • Ensure compliance with specific ratings, product specifications, and standards requirements. • Participate in cross-functional teams with Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, and procurement functions. • Perform methodical problem solving to assist in product line production • Support design activities, such as brainstorming, database management and development, design/peer reviews, and general analysis, including tolerance analysis, using experience with basic machine design. • Ensure products meet requirements for Design for Manufacturing (DFM). • Assist in root cause analysis by way of the 5 Why and Ishikawa processes

Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Degree or Bachelor’s in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering (or similar) • Ability to analyze complex problems and present proposals/solutions in a concise manner to a diverse audience. • Experience on Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, preferably with exposure to product development processes, testing and evaluation methods, codes & standards • Knowledge of systems engineering, offer development, and product lifecycle • Experience with Creo and Windchill is a plus • Understand material properties, manufacturing processes and design best practices. • Identify and assure the right design interfaces between mechanics and electronics. • Electronic, electric, circuit analysis knowledge is a plus. Must have 3-5+ years in a high production manufacturing environment Must have knowledge of: -Design for Manufacturing (DFM) -Bill of Material (BOM) creation, modification, and documentation

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
