LAB TECHNICIAN

4 DAY WORKWEEK -WEEKENDS OFF

Job Description

As a Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in translating order requirements into processes to formulate oligos according to customer specifications. You will be responsible for quantifying and sampling oligos for quality control, assessing QC data, and making pass/fail decisions. Your duties include completing replication of plate and tube orders, performing backend checks on final products, and maintaining daily shipping deadlines for all products. You will maximize automation for all processes and use both automated and manual lab equipment accurately, including undertaking limited maintenance and troubleshooting activities. Additionally, you will utilize custom software packages to complete tasks and create final products, requiring a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Translate order requirements into formulation processes for oligos
• Quantify and samples for quality control, making pass/fail decisions.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related life sciences preferred.
• Associates Degree in Life Science with 1-2 years of relevant lab-based experience.
• Experience in quality control, DNA extraction, DNA sequencing, biology, pipetting, formulations.
• Knowledge in adding buffers to PAGE oligos, using liquid handlers, chemistry, microbiology, quality assurance, PCR.
