Material Handler / Forklift Operator
We are hiring an experienced Material Handler / Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse and shipping operations. This role is ideal for candidates with forklift, warehouse, shipping and receiving, or production experience who are seeking stable work in a clean, climate-controlled facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift to safely move materials throughout the warehouse
- Use RF scan guns to scan, track, and document product movement
- Load and unload trailers and stage product for outbound shipments
- Supply materials to production or packaging teams as needed
- Use internal shipping and inventory systems to maintain accurate records
- Inspect inbound and outbound product for accuracy and quality
- Support warehouse organization, labeling, and efficient material flow
- Act as a floor-level warehouse lead by assisting and guiding teammates as needed, without direct management responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules, GMP guidelines, and standard operating procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of sit-down forklift experience
- At least 6 months of warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience
- Experience with material handling, shipping, or receiving functions
- Comfortable using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Shipping and receiving experience
- General labor or assembly experience
- Experience with loading, unloading, and inventory processes
- Previous experience as a forklift driver or warehouse associate
Work Environment
- Clean, temperature-controlled warehouse facility
- GMP-regulated operation
- Steel-toe boots required
- Long pants such as jeans or khakis required
- T-shirt permitted
- Personal protective equipment provided, including ear protection and hair nets
- Team-oriented, safety-first workplace

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Iowa City, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.50/hr.
