Job Description
The Operations Supervisor is tasked with providing supervision in plant operations, offering servant leadership to employees. This role oversees various operational functions and the operator team, ensuring Feed Safety/Food Safety by adhering to all Safe Feed/Safe Food policies and protocols. Immediate corrective action is required if safety issues arise.
Responsibilities
- Provide servant leadership and supervision in plant operations.
- Oversee various operational functions and the operator team.
- Ensure compliance with all Safe Feed/Safe Food policies and protocols.
- Take immediate corrective action if safety issues arise.
- Act as a working supervisor and fill in as needed on the production side.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a related industry or field.
- Strong supervision and management skills.
- Knowledge or ability to learn basic troubleshooting skills for machines.
- Safety and leadership skills.
- Experience in operations, operations management, production, production management, and continuous improvement.
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional education preferred.
- Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions and interpret written instructions.
- Knowledge of basic math skills and computer operation.
- Valid IA Driver's license and ability to obtain a Class A CDL.

Work Environment
This role operates within an ag chemical environment where products are loaded off rail and transported through the plant. Machines use pumps to transfer products throughout the process.
