Description
- Mechanical Engineer supporting the Sheet Finishing department to improve safety, efficiency, output, and quality - Responsible for mechanical system integration to create, sustain, and enhance manufacturing infrastructure and processes - Works both independently and collaboratively with engineers, technical staff, maintenance, and production teams - Reports to the Lead Engineer; primarily Monday–Friday days, with occasional off‑shift support for project needs - Lead and execute project management activities for sustaining and capital improvement projects - Manage all phases of mechanical engineering projects: concept, scope, specifications, safety reviews, bidding, design, manufacturing, commissioning, and closure - Coordinate and oversee external vendors and contractors for design, materials, installation, and support - Drive tactical improvements in safety, infrastructure reliability, training, and production - Lead and support problem‑solving efforts for process and machine performance improvements

Required: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Ag Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work comfortably across all levels of the organization - Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project tools Nice to Have: - 3+ years of engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment - Experience working with aluminum rolling mills or similar technologies - Ability to interpret and work with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility system designs, including making improvement modifications - Hands‑on experience developing and implementing mechanical engineering project work
