Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to support our dermatology practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for rooming patients, documenting vital information, providing post-operative wound care instructions, drawing blood, and assisting with patient scheduling and other administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document all vital information accurately.
• Scribe information for the dermatologist during patient consultations.
• Provide comprehensive post-operative wound care instructions to patients.
• Draw blood for laboratory tests and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock exam rooms effectively.
• Schedule patient appointments efficiently.
• Assist dermatologists with surgical photographs, biopsies, and patch testing, while being present in the room.

Essential Skills

• Certified Medical Assistant certification required.
• 1-3 years of experience as a CMA or MA.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and patient intake.
• Strong skills in appointment scheduling and customer service.
• Ability to check vitals and draw blood accurately.
• Experience in medical scribing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in health care and triage.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The role requires travel to Mt. Pleasant and Burlington locations as needed, with providers rotating between both sites. Traveling to another location for a split shift will be compensated at the hourly rate for travel time, though there is no mileage reimbursement.
