This role operates in a traditional warehouse and large data center environment, focusing on accurately picking parts and materials according to customer orders and placing them in designated work areas. You read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping documents, and related paperwork to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped. You help ensure accurate and timely shipments and receipts while maintaining organized, safe, and efficient work areas in a fast-paced, safety-focused, and climate-controlled facility.
Responsibilities- Pick parts and materials according to customer orders and place items in designated work areas.
- Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and other documents to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and shipped.
- Move items from bulk containers, racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Assist in counting and accurately tracking materials or items received or distributed, including physical inventory counts.
- Maintain accurate records related to materials handling, inventory, shipments, and receipts.
- Ensure shipments and receipts are completed accurately and on time.
- Respond to and resolve inquiries related to orders, shipments, and inventory.
- Initiate and maintain open communication with customers, third-party vendors, and internal departments to verify and escalate service orders as needed.
- Organize the facility, warehouse, and work areas to maintain orderliness at all times, following 5S and similar organizational practices.
- Follow and maintain appropriate control processes and safety procedures in the warehouse and data center environment.
- Handle high-value server and data center equipment with care and attention to detail.
- Work the schedule required to meet production goals and site Key Performance Indicators, adapting to fluctuations based on business needs.
- Perform general warehouse duties including receiving, picking, packing, loading, unloading, shipping and receiving, and inventory support.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and related tools to move, load, and unload materials.
- Perform heavy lifting and general labor tasks as needed to support production and warehouse operations.
- Carry out other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse and data center operations.
- Experience in warehouse operations, material handling, and general labor within a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in receiving, picking, packing, loading, unloading, shipping and receiving, and warehouse inventory activities.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Experience operating a forklift, electric tug, and/or pallet jack.
- Comfort using RF scanners and other basic warehouse technology to track and process inventory and orders.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, shipping, and recordkeeping.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player with a diverse group of colleagues.
- Flexibility to work overtime or varying shifts as required to support business demands.
- Capability to work on your feet with significant walking throughout the shift in a large warehouse and data center environment.
- Experience as a material handler or warehouse worker in a traditional warehousing or data center setting.
- Background in order picking, packaging, and general production support.
- Familiarity with 5S or similar organizational and housekeeping practices in industrial environments.
- Experience handling high-value equipment, particularly server or technology-related hardware.
- Comfort working in a safety-focused environment with established procedures and controls.
- Ability to maintain clear, ongoing communication with internal teams and external partners.
- Strong organizational skills to keep work areas neat, orderly, and efficient.
- Willingness to learn new processes, equipment, and systems as operations evolve.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $49920.00/yr.
