Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment. This role primarily involves performing preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery, running electric and airlines, and moving machinery. The Technician ensures all tasks are carried out efficiently, safely, and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Read work orders and specifications to determine necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Prioritize assignments based on urgency and task order.
- Assist with the installation of new machinery.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, especially around the press.
- Demonstrate and teach newer employees proper machine usage and safety measures.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment.
Essential Skills
- Experience with preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical services, and blueprint reading.
- Ability to perform PLC troubleshooting and work with 3-phase power up to 480 volts.
- Familiarity with plastics injection molding.
- Experience in reading wiring schematics and part drawings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with voltmeter usage to check voltages up to 480V.
- Experience with wiring and operation of relays, motors, and transformers.
- Ability to install and test electrical circuits and perform basic wiring.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Previous experience in the printing/thermoforming industry.

Work Environment
Work on the first shift from 7am-3pm, Monday-Friday, in a very clean environment with 18 thermoforming lines. The facility is divided, with one side dedicated to medical customers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bensenville, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $34.00/hr.
