Lead Support Representative, Warehouse Position Profile
The Lead Support Representative is responsible for leading and directing a team of warehouse associates and forklift drivers to ensure tasks and duties are completed accurately and efficiently. This role ensures all processes and procedures are followed and that work is completed according to established requirements. The position also assists in training warehouse associates and forklift drivers and serves as the direct backup to the Warehouse Supervisor.

The position also assists in training warehouse associates and forklift drivers and serves as the direct backup to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with and supports the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager to plan and ensure work-related timelines and activities are met for the assigned functional area.
- Helps develop and support productivity and quality standards and ensures they are achieved.
- Assists in training assigned warehouse personnel, including warehouse associates, dispatchers, and forklift drivers.
- Is fully trained and knowledgeable in all procedures and processes within the functional area.
- Ensures all OSHA and company safety and security standards and guidelines are followed.
- Leads and directs team members in daily work activities.
- Identifies issues and recommends corrective actions when applicable.
- Possesses fundamental supervisory skills and provides limited management coverage in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Communicates with and supports internal and external customers as required.
- Demonstrates fundamental administrative skills and ensures all paperwork is properly controlled and processed.
- Efficiently operates all material handling and dock equipment required for job responsibilities.
- Is proficient with all systems and equipment required for the role, including PCs, scanners, manifest systems, and WMS.
- Demonstrates system and process troubleshooting skills to identify, communicate, and resolve issues.
- Displays organizational knowledge of the size, scope, and departmental interactions within a Regional Distribution Warehouse.
- Provides assistance to other functional areas as needed.
- Meets productivity and quality standards as outlined by management and remains focused on continuous improvement.
- Performs physical work as required.
- Financial Responsibility: May be involved in managing daily transactional and inventory volumes exceeding $5M.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and ERP platforms is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other office productivity tools is preferred.
- Must possess a current Forklift Certification.
- Must have adequate reading and math skills and the ability to write legibly.
- Ability to drive 5S initiatives and daily production goals in support of warehouse leadership objectives.
- Must be physically capable of performing assigned tasks, including walking, standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
- Minimum of four (4) years of warehouse experience, or three (3) years within the organization, is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to listen effectively and provide clear direction.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a team to achieve goals.
- Work is typically performed in a warehouse environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise levels.
- Assignments are varied and require the ability to interpret, comprehend, and apply complex materials, data, and instructions, as well as prepare and communicate diversified information.
- Physical effort is required, including lifting tool cases and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds, and moving wheeled objects weighing up to 700 pounds.
- Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling are required to service equipment at floor level.
- Overtime or work outside of normal business hours may be required as operational needs arise.
