Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Job Description
The Warehouse Supervisor leads and supports warehouse associates to ensure high levels of productivity, accuracy, and safety. This role oversees daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control, while maintaining compliance with company standards and regulatory guidelines. The Warehouse Supervisor monitors workflow, optimizes processes, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, improve efficiency, and maintain a clean, organized, and well-controlled warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and support warehouse associates to achieve productivity, quality, and accuracy goals.
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
- Monitor workflow throughout the shift and adjust staffing, task assignments, or processes to meet deadlines and operational targets.
- Ensure all inventory is stored, labeled, and tracked accurately within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
- Coordinate with logistics, production, and purchasing teams to resolve order issues, shipment delays, or inventory discrepancies.
- Enforce company policies, safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and quality standards on the warehouse floor.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational errors and waste.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on productivity, inventory accuracy, and team performance for leadership review.
- Support shipping and receiving activities, including verification of incoming and outgoing shipments as needed.
- Oversee proper use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other material handling tools, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, modern food manufacturing facility designed to meet high standards of hygiene and quality. You will work in a temperature-controlled environment handling food products in accordance with GMP and safety guidelines. The warehouse operates multiple shifts, including a first shift and additional shifts such as 2:00 PM–10:00 PM and 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Monday through Saturday, offering substantial overtime opportunities. The environment involves active warehouse work, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating or working around forklifts and other material handling equipment. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to food safety and OSHA standards, providing a structured and well-maintained workplace.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
