Superintendent - Troutville, VA

We are actively hiring a Construction Superintendent to support multiple upcoming projects in the greater Chicagoland area. Superintendents on this team oversee daily operations on the construction site. They ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure proper PPE is worn on site. They coordinate workers, subcontractors, and materials, communicate effectively with project management teams, clients, and subcontractors, take detailed site photos, complete project look-ahead schedules and reporting within Excel, problem-solve, enforce regulations, and keep the site running efficiently. Responsibilities

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience as a lead superintendent on site (preference for 5+ years of experience)
• Experience supporting restaurant, multi-tenant, gas stations, and/or medical office construction
• Ability to communicate at a high level and articulate project details effectively
• OSHA Certification - OSHA 30 is preferred, but OSHA 10 will be accepted
• Ability to comprehend and interpret Project Plans
• Must be okay with Salary Exempt compensation
• Preferred - Ability to operate a Forklift

Work Environment

This person will likely start in either Bethel Park, PA, or Troutville, VA, to support New Construction for a Fast Food chain. A local candidate for these jobs would be preferred, but they are open to travelers. For traveling candidates, the company will pay for lodging, along with $30-40/day per diem and gas mileage reimbursement. If Superintendent continues to travel past 12 months, they will be eligible for a company vehicle. For local candidates unwilling to travel, this will be a project-based role for the duration of the job (about 6 months). This company is based out of the Chicago and has a consistent book of business across multiple states.
