Overview
We are currently seeking experienced Commercial Carpenters to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in commercial construction, including metal stud framing and acoustical ceiling installation, and will take pride in delivering quality workmanship on fast-paced job sites. The typical scheduled is 6AM-3PM with potential overtime. The current work locations are surrounding the Deerfield and Elgin area: La Grange, St. Charles, and Bannockburn, IL. Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair commercial structures using wood, metal stud framing, drywall, and other materials
- Install and modify acoustical ceiling systems (ACT/drop ceilings)
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout specifications
- Perform framing, drywall hanging, finishing, doors, hardware, and trim work
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Follow OSHA standards and all job-site safety requirements
- Work independently or as part of a crew to meet project deadlines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Previous commercial carpentry experience required
- Proven experience with metal stud framing and acoustical ceilings
- Ability to read blueprints and take accurate measurements
- Strong working knowledge of carpentry tools and construction methods
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred but not required

This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
