Job Title: Lab Technician

Description

The lab technician will be responsible for preparing client samples while working under a microscope. This role involves working with pharmaceutical or food samples, performing evaluations to test for contaminants, and utilizing specialized equipment under stringent regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project samples for various clients, including pharmaceutical and food industries.
• Perform evaluations to test for contaminants, separate particulate, and filter or isolate them based on customer requests.
• Micro manipulate samples and work under a microscope for at least half of the shift.
• Operate flow hoods, including laminar flow hoods and biological safety cabinets.
• Follow ISO and FDA regulations.
• Re-prioritize projects as needed, dependent on client deadlines and expectations.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience working in a lab setting.
• 2+ years of experience working with a microscope.
• Experience working in flow hoods, particularly Biological Safety Cabinets or Laminar Flow Hoods.
• Experience with Stereo Microscope and Polarized Microscope.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and microbiology.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.

• BS in sciences (biology or microbiology most relevant, but flexible).
• Passionate about the sciences.
• Adaptable and flexible to adjust based on deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and able to work under varying client project loads.

Work Environment

This position is in an industrial cleanroom. The lab technician will work on a team of 6-7 other Lab Technicians. The position is a 1st shift opportunity.
