Hiring Forklift Operator with Pay up to $21/hour in Elgin, IL.
Responsibilities :
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and clamp trucks to move product from production lines to trailers
- Load trailers based on customer requirements while ensuring damage-free shipment
- Utilize RF scanning systems to track and identify materials
- Read and follow loading summary manifests for accurate product distribution
- Palletize products as needed and verify correct pallet types per customer requirements
- Perform daily forklift inspections prior to use
- Handle paperwork related to pallet checks and inventory control
- Pull orders and support warehouse releases
- Report load issues, high-risk products, or damaged materials to Team Leads or Warehouse Manager
- Maintain quality standards when handling materials and ensure proper load stabilization
- Assist with loading/unloading trailers and tagging out defective equipment
Requirements :
- 2+ years of forklift experience (both sit-down and stand-up required)
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to read measuring tape and ruler and perform basic shop math
- Comfortable lifting up to 60 lbs throughout the day
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle materials without damage
- Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively in a team
Pay & Shift :
- Pay: $20–$21/hour
- 1st Shift: 5:45 AM – 2:00 PM (Monday–Friday)
- Current opening: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)
- Must be flexible to work 10–12 hour shifts (2 PM – 2 AM or similar schedules)
- Opportunity for up to 50-hour workweeks as production scales up
