Hiring Clamp Truck Operator with pay up to $23/hour in Elgin, IL.
Responsibilities :
- Operate roll clamp forklifts to transport rolls from trucks and warehouse areas to the corrugator
- Safely load and unload materials, ensuring accurate placement and damage-free handling
- Monitor and report safety, quality, or production issues using established processes
- Follow instructions and work efficiently to meet shipment deadlines and unloading targets
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and intervene when unsafe practices are observed
- Ensure high standards of quality, productivity, and attention to detail in all tasks
- Coordinate with operators, supervisors, shipping, and customer service teams
- Verify load accuracy and ensure all materials are handled and stored properly
- Unload incoming shipments in a timely manner and place in designated locations
Requirements :
- 2+ years of Roll Clamp Forklift experience (standard clamp experience not acceptable)
- Ability to work overtime, including up to 60 hours per week and occasional Saturdays
- Ability to read measuring tape and ruler accurately and perform basic shop math
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle equipment without causing damage
- Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively in a team environment
- Comfortable lifting up to 60 lbs throughout the workday
Pay & Shift :
- Pay: Competitive (based on experience)
- Current opening: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)
- Must be flexible to work 10–12-hour shifts (including schedules such as 2 PM – 2 AM)
- Regular overtime expected, with potential to work up to 60 hours per week, including Saturdays
