This position combines hands-on work, problem-solving, customer engagement, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities Customer Support & Service
- Set up, maintain, and service Ricoh equipment and solutions in customer environments.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and ensure equipment is running smoothly.
- Provide guidance to customers on how to use and get the most from their Ricoh products.
- Spot opportunities to improve customer workflows or expand the use of Ricoh services.
- Act as a trusted partner to customers, understanding their needs and helping them plan ahead.
- Manage your daily schedule while coordinating with teammates as needed.
- Build strong, professional relationships with both customers and Ricoh colleagues.
- Complete service visits efficiently using Ricoh's internal systems.
- Deliver on-site training, observe customer processes, and recommend improvements.
- Meet performance goals related to response times, quality of work, and cost management.
- Keep accurate records, reports, and documentation.
- Maintain assigned inventory, whether in a vehicle or on customer premises.
- Achieve productivity expectations based on experience and workload.
- Participate in Ricoh's value-added programs and ensure accurate billing.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance (for roles requiring travel).
- High school diploma required. Experience or coursework in mechanical, electrical, or equipment-related fields is helpful.
- Ability to meet certification requirements outlined in Ricoh's training program.
- Self-driven, organized, and eager to learn.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and mobile devices.
- Skilled at resolving conflicts and maintaining professionalism.
- Frequent daily travel, sometimes in varying weather.
- Occasional overnight travel.
- Physical activity including lifting up to 50 lbs, moving wheeled equipment up to 400 lbs, and regular bending or kneeling.
- May include shift work, overtime, or on-call responsibilities.
- Periodic stress due to deadlines, service volume, and customer needs.
