CNC Machinist / CNC Setup Operator
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machinery
- Run CNC machines throughout the shift while meeting daily production goals.
- Perform tooling changes, machine adjustments, and multiple setups each shift.
- Conduct routine quality inspections and document production results.
- Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and machining specifications.
- Set feed rates, cutting speeds, and machine parameters to optimize production.
- Load raw materials and monitor machine performance during operation.
- Cut, grind, and maintain tooling as needed.
- Complete production reports and communicate shift status to incoming operators.
- Troubleshoot basic machining and quality issues to minimize downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CNC machining or CNC operator experience.
- Experience performing machine setups and tooling changes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to work a 3rd shift schedule in a manufacturing environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Frankfort, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
