Quality Control Associate

What You’ll Do
- Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure they meet customer and regulatory standards
- Perform precision measurements (down to 1/64th of an inch) using rulers and testing tools
- Conduct visual inspections for color accuracy, consistency, and defects
- Test seal strength and durability of packaging materials
- Complete detailed quality checks (multiple measurements per product)
- Identify defects and communicate issues quickly to production teams
- Accurately complete documentation, labeling, and paperwork
- Package finished products while maintaining proper identification and traceability
- Follow cleanroom protocols and PPE requirements at all times
- Collaborate with lab and production teams to support smooth, high-quality operations
What You Bring
- Experience in quality control, inspection, or lab testing (industry or academic)
- Strong attention to detail—you’re precise, consistent, and thorough
- Comfort working with measurement tools and performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to follow SOPs and regulated processes
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Reliability with consistent attendance and transportation
- Team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Background
- Associate degree in a science or technical field (nice to have)
- OR relevant hands-on experience in quality, manufacturing, or lab work
- Experience in a cleanroom or controlled environment is a plus
- Familiarity with PPE protocols and handling specialized materials
Work Environment
- 2nd shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Paid training on 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) for 2–4 weeks
- Cleanroom setting with strict quality and safety standards
- Work alongside a small, collaborative team (4–5 people)
- Mix of seated inspection work and coordination with production
- PPE required; fragrance-free, phone-free lab environment

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
