Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
This role involves assembling industrial sweeping machines by following detailed work instructions and using a variety of hand and power tools. You will work at multiple assembly stations to build and integrate hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical subassemblies into a complete machine. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, careful attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a structured manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble industrial sweeping machines by following written work instructions and established procedures.
- Use hand and power tools, including screw guns, sockets, wrenches, and related equipment, to assemble mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
- Work through four progressive assembly stations, completing approximately 4–5 hours of assembly work at each station.
- Install key components such as brakes, tires, engines, lift arms, radiators, hoses, wiring harnesses, and subassemblies as required.
- Electrify the machine by installing and connecting electrical components and harnesses according to specifications.
- Install sheet metal panels and the hopper during the final assembly stage, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Verify that all fasteners, nuts, bolts, and connections are secure and meet quality standards.
- Follow safety guidelines and use tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the assigned assembly station.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues, defects, or process improvements to supervisors or leads.
- Meet productivity and quality expectations for each assembly station within the allotted time.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand and follow detailed work instructions.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, including screw guns, sockets, wrenches, and other basic mechanical tools.
- Experience performing mechanical assembly, heavy assembly, or similar hands-on mechanical work.
- Ability to assemble hydraulic components and related mechanical systems.
- Basic understanding of electrical and subassembly installation in a manufacturing or mechanical environment.
- Capability to handle repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods while working at assembly stations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow all safety procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in mechanics, such as automotive, diesel, or equipment repair, is highly beneficial.
- Experience with engine repair or mechanical hobbies that involve tools and assembly work.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or related industrial environments.
- Training from trade schools or technical programs related to mechanics or industrial technology.
- Experience gained from military mechanic roles or similar technical positions.
- Comfort working with heavy assemblies and larger mechanical components.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, well-lit manufacturing setting that differs from traditional moving assembly lines. Instead, work is organized into four or five dedicated stations where multiple assembly processes are completed at each location. The facility is climate controlled, providing a comfortable and consistent work environment throughout the year. Safety is a clear priority, with a safety-conscious culture and structured processes. The position operates on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional overtime of approximately 3–5 hours per week as needed.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
