Senior Construction Manager (Telecommunications Infrastructure)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to oversee and direct multiple telecommunications construction projects throughout the region. This is a leadership role focused on managing aerial, underground, and fiber optic infrastructure projects while ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-time project execution.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecom construction, fiber deployment, outside plant (OSP), underground utilities, and field operations management. This individual will serve as a key leader for project teams, construction managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Construction Manager, you will provide oversight and leadership across multiple active construction projects from initial planning through project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple telecommunications construction projects simultaneously
- Oversee aerial, underground, fiber optic, coaxial, and directional drilling operations
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to scope
- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules and resource plans
- Track project budgets and financial performance
- Review and approve project estimates, change orders, and cost reporting
- Coordinate activities between construction, engineering, permitting, utility companies, and municipalities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for clients and stakeholders
- Lead regular production, planning, and safety meetings
- Monitor quality assurance and quality control standards across all projects
- Evaluate subcontractor performance and ensure contract compliance
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost savings
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, local regulations, and company safety standards
- Mentor and develop Construction Managers, Supervisors, and field leadership teams
- Support strategic operational goals while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing telecommunications construction projects
- Strong knowledge of:
- Outside Plant (OSP)
- Fiber Optic Construction
- Underground Utility Construction
- Aerial Construction
- Coaxial Networks
- Directional Drilling Operations
- Proven experience leading multiple projects and field teams simultaneously
- Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Strong understanding of telecom construction methods and industry best practices
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, municipalities, utility providers, and clients
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
- Proficiency with project reporting, forecasting, and cost management

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lisle, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.
